Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Suda respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Information We Access
1.1 App Settings (Stored Locally)
Your preferences — including your list of blocked apps, pushup goals, earned screen time balance, daily stats, and streaks — are stored locally on your device and never leave it.
1.2 Screen Time (iOS)
On iOS, Suda uses Apple's Screen Time framework (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity) to block the apps you select until you earn screen time by doing pushups. Apple processes this entirely on-device: Suda cannot see the content of your blocked apps, and Apple's app selection is designed so that Suda never learns which specific apps you chose.
1.3 App Usage Access (Android)
On Android, Suda uses the Usage Access permission to detect when a blocked app is opened, and the "Display over other apps" permission to show the blocking screen. This information is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
1.4 Camera (Pushup Counting)
Suda requests camera access to count your pushups using on-device pose detection. No images or video are uploaded, transmitted, or stored — everything is processed in real time on your device and discarded immediately. Suda does not record audio.
1.5 Body / Pose Data
To count pushups, Suda analyzes your body position through the camera. Here is how Suda handles this data:
- What we process: Suda uses Google MediaPipe Pose Landmarker (running entirely on-device) to detect body landmark positions (such as shoulders, elbows, and wrists) in each camera frame. From these landmarks, Suda computes joint angles to detect pushup repetitions. No body recognition or identification is performed.
- How it is used: Landmark positions are used solely to count pushup repetitions in real time during an active session.
- Storage and retention: Pose data exists only in temporary memory during the active camera session. It is never written to disk, saved to any database, or persisted in any form. Only the final repetition count is kept, as part of your local stats. Once the camera session ends, all pose data is immediately discarded.
- Third-party sharing: Pose data is never shared with any third party. All processing happens on-device using MediaPipe, which runs locally with no network communication.
- No biometric identification: Suda does not identify, recognize, or authenticate individuals. It detects only body landmark positions to count repetitions. No body templates, embeddings, or biometric identifiers are created or stored.
1.6 Notifications
With your permission, Suda can send local notifications (for example, when your earned screen time is about to run out). These notifications are scheduled and delivered on-device; no notification data is sent to any server.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- Name, email, or contact information
- Location or GPS data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Health or fitness data (your pushup counts stay on your device and are not shared with health platforms)
- Contacts, calendar, or browsing history
- Audio — the microphone is never used
3. Third-Party Services
Suda does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external technologies involved run entirely on your device:
3.1 Apple Services (iOS)
Suda integrates with Apple FamilyControls and related Screen Time frameworks for app blocking, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
3.2 Google MediaPipe
Pose detection is powered by Google MediaPipe, an on-device machine learning library. The model runs locally and performs no network communication.
4. Data Storage
All your data — blocked app selections, pushup stats, earned screen time, streaks, and settings — is stored locally on your device. No cloud sync or account creation is required. Suda does not operate any backend servers for user data.
5. Data Deletion
Uninstalling the app removes all app data from your device. On iOS, you can manage Screen Time permissions in Settings under Screen Time, and camera permissions under Settings > Privacy & Security. On Android, you can manage Usage Access, overlay, and camera permissions in system Settings > Apps > Suda.
6. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app requires no account or personal data to function.
7. Your Rights
All Users
- Access all your data directly within the app.
- Delete all data by uninstalling the app.
EU Users (GDPR)
- Rights to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability apply.
- Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control.
California Users (CCPA)
- We do not sell personal information.
- Right to know and delete applies via app controls.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated within the app.
